After lots of nagging messages, I finally gave into doing a system upgrade from my 32bit image.
Muon did an update a that rebooted the system an I ended up with Saucy, 13.10 but the 64 bit version.
SystemGuard (System Monitor) --the version of win Taskmanager still did not work correctly.
CPU History is blank as well as Network History...
There also is a problem with KSnapshot because as soon as
you begin to select the image of interest, there is bleed-thru from the menu window of KSnapshot. I had to move the menu away from the portion of the screen of interest to get a clean photo of the SystemGuard window.
